SPORTSHALL 2009 – 2010

 WHAT IS IT?

        Sportshall consists of a number of indoor athletic events between Athletic Clubs in Surrey at the Guildford Spectrum.

WHO IS IT FOR?

          It is essentially for Boys and Girls in the following age groups:

Under 13’s – The U13’s should be under 13 years of age at midnight on the 31^st August/1^st September 2009.

Under 15’s – The U15’s should be under 15 years of age at midnight on the 31^st August/1^st September 2009

Under 17’s – There are a number of separate events for the U17’s although this is not part of the main competition.

WHEN?

          Sunday 25^th October, 2009, Sunday November 29^th, 2009, and Sunday 24^th January 2010.

          All meetings will be held at the Guildford Spectrum.  The start time for all dates is 1pm.  We need to meet at the Spectrum no later that 12.15pm.

          The Regional Final (the most successful Club Athletes from the three fixtures are selected to compete for Surrey against other counties) and the successful County will compete in the National Final at Birmingham.

WHY SHOULD I COMPETE?

        The three fixtures provide a great deal of fun and a real sense of competition when you can represent Hercules Wimbledon and possibly Surrey County in the Regional and National Competitions.  A number of Hercules Wimbledon athletes have represented Surrey in the National finals in recent years.  It provides an excellent opportunity for winter competition: particularly for the non cross-country specialist.
